Custom Embroidery & Cap Branding
Add your farm or company logo to clothing and caps with Brand-a-Farm. We help you choose a suitable branding method, quote the work and arrange sample approval before branding your products.
Embroidery pricing and minimum quantities
- Normal flat embroidery digitising: R250 once-off, including VAT. This prepares your custom logo for embroidery; the embroidery on each product is charged separately.
- Flat embroidery minimum: 1 product.
- 3D embroidery and patches: orders start from 20 products. Some specialist patch methods require higher quantities, confirmed in your quotation.
- Printing and 3D embroidery setup: quoted case by case, according to the design, branding method and service provider.
Embroidery is priced per product. The cost depends on the size of your logo, the number of thread colours and the stitch count needed to reproduce the design. Send us your logo and product choices for an accurate quotation.
How your custom embroidery order works
- Send your requirements. Share your logo, product names, colours, sizes, quantities and preferred branding positions.
- Review your quotation. We quote the digitising or setup fees and the embroidery or branding costs.
- Accept the quote and pay. Once you accept the quotation, we send an invoice. Work begins after payment has been received.
- Digitising and product sourcing. We arrange digitising while sourcing your products from our suppliers.
- Approve your sample and placement. For custom embroidery, we send a photo of your logo stitched onto a piece of cloth, together with images showing the proposed placement on your products. You can comment on the design and positioning before giving approval.
- Branding your products. We embroider your products after you have approved the sample and placement.
Cap branding options
The best method depends on your logo, the cap fabric and shape, your quantity and the finish you want. Ask us to quote suitable options for your chosen cap.
- Flat embroidery: a traditional stitched logo with a relatively flat finish.
- 3D puff embroidery: raised stitching for bold lettering and simpler designs.
- DTF print: direct-to-film printing for detailed, multicolour artwork on suitable caps.
- PU heat transfer and 3D PU print: flexible transfer branding or a raised, textured print finish.
- Embroidered patches: a separate embroidered badge, with flat or raised stitching.
- DTF print patches and raised DTF patches: printed badges with a flat or raised finish.
- Leather patches: engraved branding for a classic outdoor look.
- Rubber patches: moulded badges with a textured or dimensional finish.
Specialist printing and patch options are quoted individually. Availability, minimum quantities, setup costs and production times depend on the selected method and cap. We confirm these details before you place your order.
Embroidery turnaround time
Our current flat embroidery turnaround is typically 2–7 working days, depending on the order. This is the flat embroidery timescale, not a promise of delivery within 2–7 working days of payment. Product sourcing, digitising, sample approval and courier delivery affect the total order time. Specialist patches, 3D printing, 3D embroidery and other printing may take longer. The turnaround time for your chosen method is confirmed in your quotation.
Tell us your required date when requesting a quote so we can advise on a realistic schedule. See our shipping policy for sourcing and delivery information.
Frequently asked questions
What is embroidery digitising?
Digitising converts your logo into the stitch instructions used by an embroidery machine. Normal flat-embroidery digitising costs R250 once-off, including VAT.
Does the R250 digitising fee include embroidery on my clothing?
No. Digitising is a separate once-off charge for preparing the logo. Embroidery is quoted per product according to logo size, colours and stitch count.
Can I order just one embroidered item?
Yes. Flat embroidery is available from one product. Our starting minimum for 3D embroidery and patch orders is 20 products, with higher minimums possible for specialist finishes.
Will I see my logo before you embroider the products?
Yes. For custom embroidery, you receive a photo of a stitched sample on cloth and images showing the proposed placement. We request your approval before embroidering your products.
Can you embroider my farm or company logo on caps?
Yes, on suitable caps. Send us your logo and preferred cap so we can advise on flat embroidery, 3D embroidery or an alternative patch or print finish.
How much does 3D embroidery or printing cost?
We quote these methods individually. Setup fees, unit prices and minimum quantities depend on the artwork, method and service provider.
Can a detailed logo be embroidered clearly on a small chest area?
It depends on the design and the final embroidery size. Fine lines, tiny lettering and closely spaced details may not reproduce clearly on a chest logo around 8 cm wide. Send us your logo so we can assess it at the intended size.
If the design needs simplifying, we will ask you to refine it. If you need help, we can assist with simplifying the logo for embroidery and discuss the changes with you before production. This is separate from creating vector artwork.
What if my branding method requires vector artwork and I do not have a vector logo?
If the chosen service provider requires vector artwork, for example for certain DTF patches, we can arrange conversion of your existing logo into a vector file at an additional fee. We do not create vector artwork in-house; we can assist with arranging the conversion. We will confirm the artwork requirements and quote the additional cost before proceeding.
